Compliance Assistant

Join our local authority team and contribute towards ensuring the safety and compliance of workers in the local area. As a Compliance Assistant, you will support the delivery of repairs, maintenance, investment, and compliance functions, with a key focus on maintaining statutory compliance and health and safety standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Collect, analyse, and monitor data for statutory compliance functions.
• Ensure robust compliance data is available and accurate across various teams.
• Produce reports and spreadsheets detailing compliance performance.
• Prepare legal packs to obtain access to properties for compliance purposes.
• Work with contractors to order and oversee remedial works.
• Monitor and follow up on remedial actions to meet compliance requirements.
• Progress ‘no access’ processes where previous access attempts have been unsuccessful.
• Take minutes of compliance meetings and follow up documented actions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in analysing and recording statistical information, including preparing data for presentation and reports.
• Knowledge and understanding of statutory compliance functions.
• Experience in direct dealings with members of the public and proven customer care experience.
• Proficiency in using a range of computer applications and ICT, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, internet, and email.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
