About Our Client

Our East Kent based client, a growing, family owned business, are seeking a Financial Controller to join them on a full time and permanent basis. This role requires an on-site presence and welcomes driven, ambitious individuals who can excel in an inclusive environment, that promotes a positive working culture where your voice can be heard.

As Financial Controller, you will drive financial control, enhance reporting processes, and streamline day-to-day operations to better support the business' growth trajectory.

Job Description

Financial Controller duties include;
  • Oversee all day-to-day financial operations, including the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Coordinate, analyse and report financial performance to Management and Board of Directors.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of best financial controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with department heads to embed financial insights into strategic and operational decisions, acting as a trusted finance partner across all business areas to support growth objectives.
  • Develop scenario models and provide financial analysis to evaluate strategic expansion options.
  • Identify and drive efficiencies across the organisation to improve profitability.
  • Play an integral role in positioning the company for its next phase of growth by supporting commercial proposals, providing key insight, metrics and data for decision support purposes.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Financial Controller should have/be:

  • Formally Qualified or an ambitious Finalist (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
  • Strong management accounting and business partnering experience, with expertise in financial controls, management reporting and cost analysis
  • A commercial mindset, able and willing to offer insight on both opportunities and potential risks.
  • The ability to clearly communicate technically complex financial issues.
  • Proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A highly organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • MUST DRIVE due to location
