Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5.
- Inspire students to develop a passion for Science through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing feedback and targeted support where needed.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of teaching resources.
- Support extracurricular activities, such as Science clubs, trips, and competitions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Science department to share best practices and enhance student learning.
- Maintain high expectations for student achievement and behaviour in line with academy policies.
Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A degree in Science or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level, with a strong understanding of the curriculum.
- The ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and the wider academy community.
