An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Private Healthcare service to appoint an Assistant General Manager. This role will provide operational support and responsibility to a variety of services across UCLH.
Following approval of a private patient strategy by the Trust Board in December 2018, UCLH has ambitious plans to develop its private patient services and improve processes to support patient care and significantly increase income. This post is a great opportunity to join the Private Healthcare team, working alongside clinicians and patients to provide high quality care.
Reporting to the General Manager for Private Healthcare, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that services are efficiently and effectively run within the department. This will be achieved through robust human resource, financial and performance management initiatives, in addition to leadership of change management programmes to achieve improvement in process and patient outcomes.
This role will work closely with clinical staff and managers across the trust to ensure the effective delivery of private patient services, focusing on quality, ease of access, responsibility for administrative processes/ teams, capacity planning and delivering convenience to all customers, including private patients and referring consultants.
To be successful in this role you will be a highly self -motivated individual who is able to plan and organise their own workload without supervision and make decisions independently. The applicant must have significant experience in a healthcare environment, with the ability to lead and manage administrative teams, in addition to having excellent communication and leadership skills.You will also need to demonstrate experience in providing excellent customer service to patients within a professional, can-do attitude, alongside understanding the expectations and service standards of private care.
