Computer Science Teacher
This role begins March 2025.
Duties as a Computer Science Teacher:
- Plan and deliver differentiated Computer Science lessons to meet the needs of students with SEND.
- Use adaptive teaching strategies to ensure all students can access and engage with computing concepts.
- Support students in developing key digital literacy, programming, and problem-solving skills.
- Utilise assistive technology and software to enhance learning experiences.
- Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external specialists to support student progress.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and independence.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing personalised feedback and support.
- Promote the safe and responsible use of technology.
Ideal Computer Science Teacher:
- A degree in Computer Science, ICT, Education, or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
- Strong knowledge of computing fundamentals, coding, and digital literacy.
- Experience with adaptive technologies and differentiated teaching strategies as a Computer Science.
- Passion for inclusive education and supporting diverse learning needs.
