We have a new opportunity for an Intake QA Coordinator to join our brilliant Technical team!

Location: Milton Keynes
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Purpose:
To ensure the safety, legality, authenticity and quality of raw materials and packaging at intake through to transfer for use inproduction or packing in accordance with agreed specifications and technical standards including traceability.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Product checks and enforcing good standards for all food and packaging materials delivered to site to the specification
- Pass or reject deliveries and ensure pallets are labelled accordingly – including allergen labelling.
- Raise non-conformances with appropriate internal contacts and suppliers
- Implement on-hold and quarantine procedures
- Ensure intake and storage controls are compliant with third party audits and customer policies.
- Assist with risk assessments and reviews in relation to raw materials and site controls.
- Ensure intake documents are maintained and up to date to reflect expectations of third-party audits and customers
- Collect samples for allergen, chemical and microbiological testing
- Carry out start up checks, temperature controls, allergen control, calibration and GMP inspections.
- Drive GMP across the factory including continual improvement in procedures, personnel behaviours and fabrication.
- Any additional tasks required to support the QA, Technical and warehouse function
Experience:
- Previous experience of working in a food manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels and ability to work well with others.
- Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene
- Level 2 HACCP
Key Skills:
- Good English (written, verbal) and good basic numeracy
- Internal auditing
- Quality conscious – keen eye on food standards, personnel standards, and Good Manufacturing Standards
- Able to use and maintain testing equipment
- Willing to challenge and improve factory standards/procedures
- Ability to work in an organized, methodical manner
- Self-motivated
- Flexible attitude
- Positive attitude to challenges and change
