Behaviour Support Assistant:
Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with multiple secondary schools in South Manchester who are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with overcoming behavioural challenges.This role is looking to start in September on a full time basis and all schools are located near public transport links and there is also access to staff car parks.
Your main duties will be to deliver targeted interventions to assist students with improving their behavioural skills. You will work closely with the classroom teacher and the SENCO and should play a key role in fostering a safe learning environment for students.
The pay for this role will be around £95 per day dependent on experience.
Job Duties:
- Support students with emotional and behavioural challenges on a 1:1 basis.
- Contribute to the development of individual behaviour plans.
- Successfully implement behaviour management interventions and strategies.
- Encourage a positive learning attitude whilst creating safe learning spaces for all.
- Monitor individual student progress.
- Build strong relationships and have great interpersonal skills.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working with KS3 and KS4 students in a similar role.
- Great understanding of different behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- The ability to be understanding, patient, empathetic and resilient.
- Behaviour management training or teaching assistant qualifications would be beneficial but not essential.
- A passionate and proactive approach to helping students with behavioural and emotional challenges.
