The NRC will be a new, purpose-built 70-bed facility which will be built on the Stanford Hall Rehabilitation Estate near Loughborough, delivering a centre of excellence to improve rehabilitation services in England. It is co-located with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre and will share some of the world class rehabilitation facilities.
Thanks to an academic partnership led by the University of Nottingham and Loughborough University, research and innovation and training and education in rehabilitation will be embedded at the NRC and central to clinical practice. We are looking for ambitious and dedicated professionals to join this journey to rehabilitation excellence, transforming outcomes for patients.
Find out more about the NRC on our website: http://www.nationalrehabilitationcentre.nhs.uk/ The post requires Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification Health Professions Council License to Practice Registered member of RCSLT The post-holder will be required, from time to time, to travel out from the base to attend training events, meetings, and domiciliary visits.
Uniform will be provided, and any equipment needed for the job role. There may be an additional requirement to work some weekends and bank holiday rotas as part of a 7 day service Knowledge, Training and Experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated through writing, planning, audits, policies and guidelines Highly developed auditory and perceptual skills in the assessment diagnosis and treatment of service users Able to use knowledge and make judgements in order to contribute to Speech and Language Therapy service delivery and development Autonomous, motivated individual able to work under pressure and without direct supervision Developing experience in the delivery of training and staff development programmes.
