Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-Time
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and support secondary-aged pupils with mental health needs, as well as those with moderate Special Educational Needs (SEN). If you have experience in education or a relevant field, and are passionate about helping young people thrive in their learning and personal development, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and group support to students with mental health challenges and moderate SEN needs
- Assist in the delivery of tailored learning programs and classroom activities
- Support teachers in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Help students manage emotions and behaviour, ensuring they feel safe and supported
- Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs
Requirements:
- Previous experience in education or a relevant field such as mental health support, SEN assistance, or youth work
- A genuine interest in supporting students with emotional, social, and academic development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and students
