Job Description
This HR Advisor role is covering a maternity leave for a period of 12 months initially. Key responsibilities include:
- Being an internal expert, providing generalist HR advice and practical support to managers on all people management and employment law issues
- Supporting with the month end reporting process ensuring that data is collated, accurate and provided on time
- Advising on early-stage grievance / disciplinary action including attendance at hearings
- Ensuring attendance management is pro-actively monitored, agreeing plans to improve with line managers, supporting delivery of plans and escalating issues as required
- Supporting the delivery of HR objectives, taking ownership of ad hoc projects as and when directed, such as talent planning, TUPE, employee engagement programmes etc
- Updating and maintaining the HR system, as appropriate, and ensure new starters and existing employees are trained on system functionality
- Robust onboarding programme and provision of relevant support provided to employees throughout the employee journey
- Act as a change champion, supporting the successful implementation of engagement programmes
- Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, facilitate the recruitment process by providing advice and support on the best way to resource
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this HR Advisor role you need to be/have:
- Relevant HR qualifications, ideally CIPD level 5 or studying towards
- Good experience of managing a range of ER issues
- Experience in a similar fast paced industry
- Confident communicator
- Skilled at managing your own time and balancing conflicting demands
- Able to travel across the sites in Leeds and South Yorkshire
- Available to start a new role in March/April

- A salary up to £37k plus company car (commute and business use only)
- A base in one of three Yorkshire offices, with travel to the other site once a week, and a day working from home
- Working as part of a friendly and experienced HR team
- 12 month fixed term contract
