About the Role

At Busy Bees Heworth, you’ll lead a vibrant nursery rated “Good” by Ofsted, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere for up to 45 children. Set in a charming redbrick building with cosy learning rooms and a secure outdoor playground, our nursery is the perfect environment for little minds to thrive—and for your career to grow.

As our Nursery Manager, you will:

  • Champion the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Inspire your team to deliver high-quality care and education
  • Build strong partnerships with families and the local community
  • Lead daily operations with confidence and compassion

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within an early years setting
  • Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding best practices

  • You will be resourceful, commercially minded, have strong leadership ability and excellent communication skills.
  • You will have strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NNEB, BTEC Nat Dip, CACHE Dip in Childcare, or NVQ Level 3.
  • Experience as a Nursery Manager or Assistant Nursery Manager.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A focus on delivering high-quality childcare and early education.
