Nursery Assistant Apprentice - Early Years Practitioner (Apprenticeship)

What You’ll Do:
As an Early Years Apprentice, you'll get real-worldexperience working in a day nursery. You’ll be paired with a buddy to guide
you, and work towards becoming a key person in the nursery. Your apprenticeship
will include training days and practical days at the nursery. Your typical day
will include:
- Assisting team members to provide top-notch care and
- Building authentic and meaningful relationships with
- Liaise closely with parents/carers and encourage their
- Working with nursery staff to ensure children’s needs and
- Keeping the environment safe, clean, and healthy.
- Supporting inclusive practices, and helping plan and assess
activities that cater to the unique development needs of each child.

TrainingYour role and responsibilities will be defined by your
employer, Cherrybrook Nursery , which will provide on-the-job training and
incorporate 20% off-the-job learning into your workday. You’ll work towards the
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship.
Training is delivered by Realise, Cherrybrook Nursery’s dedicatedprovider.

ProspectsStarting as an Early Years Apprentice, you can advance
through various rewarding roles in childcare. With experience and
qualifications, you might progress to:
Room Leader: Oversee a specific room in the nursery, leading activities and ensuring children's well-being and development. You'llalso mentor team members.
Deputy Manager: Assist the Nursery Manager with daily
operations, including staff management, administrative tasks, and maintaininghigh care standards.
Nursery Manager: Manage the nursery’s overall
operation, including strategic planning, regulatory compliance, financialmanagement, and leading the team to provide an excellent environment for
children's growth.
