Business Development Manager

About the role

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for maintaining effective business relationships to establish recurring business opportunities. You will also be responsible for developing a wider range of business opportunities. Developing strong internal and external relationships, you will be responsible for nurturing future business opportunities related to our battery storage and asset optimisation branches.

What will I spend my day on at Noriker?
  • Identify opportunities by researching relevant business sectors and building a strong, targeted network
  • Contribute to the development process of asset projects, providing creative solutions to deliver cost, efficiency and low carbon solutions to the national grid and infrastructure projects
  • Maintain effective partner relationships to establish recurring business opportunities
  • Create business models for identified opportunities
  • Develop a good working-level knowledge of the UK energy services sector, in particular the technology options, and the commercial and regulatory drivers
  • Implement an organised and structured approach to pipeline management to ensure effective internal and external stakeholder engagement throughout the development cycle
  • Develop wider business opportunities and capability
What skills will I need to succeed in the role?

  • Have at least 3 years’ experience of developing strong business-partner relationships to deliver an effective pipeline of commercial opportunities
  • Experience of prospecting and managing client relationships in a technical sales environment is a prerequisite, experience of the energy services or energy asset/infrastructure sector is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills to understand and develop opportunities in a highly complex business and regulatory domain
  • Must be an articulate communicator, with demonstrable lead development and proposition presentation skills
What is our interview process?
  • All of our CVs are reviewed by the people in the recruitment team
  • If there’s a match, we’ll invite you for a 30 min screening call to allow us to get to know each other better
  • The next stage is an in-person interview with a leader from the Trading and Analytics team and Senior management, we may ask you to prepare something for this one too
  • We’ll try and get all of this done within 3 weeks
