We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Children’s Therapy department at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are a well-established, friendly team looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist who is keen to continue developing within the specialty of Paediatrics.
The Children’s Therapy Team is an integrated Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy team providing a service for children aged 0-19 years in a variety of primarily community settings. The service and team are based within the Child Development Centre at St Luke’s Hospital.You will be expected to manage a large, complex and varied caseload of community-based patients in a variety of locations such as The Child Development Centre, homes, nurseries and schools. You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the overall service as required.

Assess and treat babies, children and young people with complex neurodisabilities, physical disabilities and difficulties in a variety of settings. May involve provision of specialist equipment to achieve identified goals.

Person specification
Experience
Essential criteria- Substantial post-graduate experience, including recent experience in the NHS
- Previous rotations/ experience within Paediatrics
- Recent experience demonstrating ability to assess, treat and evaluate care in paediatrics
- Evidence of MDT working
- Experience of developing others
Skills
Essential criteria- To exercise a professional duty of care and be accountable for own professional actions
- Evidence of CPD
- Competent in Occupational Therapy practice
- Competent IT skills
- Maintain contemporaneous and accurate records
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Appropriate/relevant undergraduate course. BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) Relevant professional qualification.
