Volunteer Local Governors Flexible hours with attendance at evening meetingsMaltby Learning Trust has vacancies for Local Governors to join the Local Governance Committee’s across the secondary and primary academies within the Trust. Governors are volunteers who have an interest in improving outcomes for children and young people and promoting high standards of educational achievement.Local Governance Committees consist of a range of people who all bring different skills to the Committee. These include Staff Governors, Parent/Carer Governors, Community Governors, Business/Education Governors and the Principal. As a committee you receive information and reports related to the Academy.Current vacancies are:
1 x Business/Education Governors at Wath Academy1 x Community Governor at Sir Thomas Wharton Academy
Meetings are scheduled in the evenings and the dates are set a year in advance. Meetings generally last for 2 hours and there is one meeting per term.You can find out more about Governance on our website - www.maltbylearningtrust.com/governanceTraining will be available for the role.
