Data Management Lead Developer | University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
We are looking for an individual who has in-depth knowledge and experience of the day-to-day business of a teaching hospital and will work effectively with clinical, operational, finance, transformation, ICT, and other teams.
In addition, you will possess:- expert technical skills (SQL, EPIC Reporting Stack)
- innate problem-solving skills
- detailed understanding of NHS Data Dictionary, Payment by Results and other commissioning options
- a significant experience with a broad set of NHS datasets (income, workforce, outpatient, inpatients, imaging, diagnostics, theatres, pharmacy, pathology, RTT, modelling, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, maternity, commissioning, etc.)
- excellent communication skills
- stakeholder management, requirements gathering and specification design
To lead on projects to produce new routine data sets for inclusion in the trust’s data warehouses. To work with the divisional information and workforce teams, and other customers, to ensure these datasets consist of the relevant information and are processed accurately and efficiently.
To lead on projects that streamline existing information processes within the data management team and wider informatics environment. You will be expected to show initiative in exploring current systems and proposing areas where there are significant benefits in rewriting processes.
To lead on and support projects to develop indicator datasets that support management decision-making, performance, planning and evaluation, and support new development and construction of datasets in these areas for reporting, analytics and performance teams.
To act as an expert in the existing suite of datasets available from the data warehouse and related data systems.
To develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the EHRS data structures that will be a source of data for the trust’s data warehouses.
