SEN Teacher

One of our partnership SEN colleges in Cheadle, are looking for a fully qualified teacher to support young people aged 18-25 with complex special educational needs.
The ideal Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), open to accepting PGCE candidates without QTS
- Experience working with children/adults with additional needs such as Autism, Visual and hearing impairments and complex needs
- The ability to build effective working relationships with children and staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full time availability within school hours
- Child and Adult DBS check
In this role as a SEN teacher, you will:
- Plan and prepare engaging and creative lessons to suit the needs of all children
- Engage in vocational activities and development of key life skills
- Support and engage with students and their EHCP plans
- Support with elements of personal care including hand washing, toileting.
- Assess student’s learning and development
