Accounts Assistant

My client is seeking an immediate Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with numbers, and has a strong understanding of financial processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client monies, credit control, and purchase ledger tasks, among other duties.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Reconcile client monies and ensure accurate financial records.
• Manage credit control processes to ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Handle purchase ledger duties, including processing invoices and payments.
• Prepare rental statements and transfer client monies as required.
• Process agent fees and handle related financial transactions.
• Liaise with Property Managers and the Accounts team to reconcile bank accounts.
• Process incoming and outgoing deposits, maintaining accurate records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in an accounts assistant role or similar.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
