Overview:** As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high
- quality care to residents in our care home.
**Duties:**
- Supervise and lead a team of care assistants to ensure the smooth running of daily care activities within the care home.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on residents' well-being and progress.
- Oversee the administration of medication and treatments in accordance with care plans and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of residents' care plans, progress notes, and any incidents that occur during shifts.
- Assist in organizing and participating in recreational activities for residents to promote social engagement and overall well-being.
- Previous experience in a senior care role within a care home setting is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes.
- A valid driver's license may be advantageous for certain duties within the role.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and colleagues effectively.
- Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to senior care needs.
