My Client is looking for a dynamic and intelligent Travel Operations Executive to join their fast-paced and fast-growing Tailor Made Travel team, based in the Cotswolds. They deal with many High-Net-Worth clients / celebrities and are therefore deadly serious about what they do - but try and have fun doing it, there is a terrific team spirit across the business.This is an exciting role and will suit either a recent graduate, or a seasoned travel specialist.
Role responsibilities- The Operations Executive role is primarily to support the sales process
- Taking over at a critical stage arranging all services turning booking from ordinary into extraordinary
- Act as an interface between client, travel designer and all services booked/ delivered to destination
- Communicating effectively and courteously with all the Company’s suppliers
- Provide all the information needed about each booking and maintaining excellent relations
- Oversee the production of attractive and accurate electronic documentation for clients
- Work in close partnership with the key sales staff to develop excellent communications and teamwork
- Assist with analysis and review of all sales & operational systems implementing improvement
- Managing and loading data and maintaining accurate records on the reservations system
- Procure critical pre-departure information from clients, as well as assembling beautifully prepared travel documents both electronically and in specially prepared hard copy format
- accurately book all elements of journey, with detailed timings, ensuring seamless delivery and flow
- Whilst backing up the sales team, there will be the opportunity to speak directly to clients and respond to enquiries with efficiency, accuracy and courtesy.
- Creativity will also be part of the role, sourcing photography and liaising with the marketing team to help plan successful social media and marketing campaigns.
- Ability to think proactively under pressure, and empathise with each client's individual needs
- Be able to adapt to fast-moving and dynamic situations on the ground and above all
- Passion for experiential travel and a deep-rooted desire to be immersed in the world of Luxury Travel
- Drive and personal characteristics to help grow sales by ensuring service offered is second to none
- Excellent attention to detail, ensure that every element of a tailor-made journey is booked correctly
- Negotiation skills to achieve the best possible commercial terms, rates, inclusions, payment schedules and cancellations policies
- Intelligent willingness to immerse yourself in the subject by reading all appropriate travel columns
- Excellent writing skills and understanding of grammar, Good creative eye for photography
- Good numeracy skills and commercial flair
- Ability to communicate effectively from both a written and oral standpoint
- Luxury brand experience is an advantage, though not essential
