We are looking for a part-time (0.5) dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate Adult Learning Development and Delivery Coordinator (LDDC) to support the Languages curriculum (includes teaching duties) to deliver exceptional languages learning to adults across Leicestershire.
Are you passionate about Languages and want to pass that passion on to others? Are you an excellent Foreign language tutor who understands the needs and challenges of teaching adult learners? Are you a skilled coordinator able to manage staff, learners and the demands of funders and awarding bodies?
Do you have experience in managing part-time staff, coordinating classes and recruiting learners, as well as delivering high-quality learning? Are you IT literate, and quick to learn new platforms and procedures?

About the Role
The aim of this role is to manage the provision of Languages classes alongside an established Learning Development and Delivery Coordinator to ensure that classes are well promoted and encourage learners to enrol. To promote the service, to manage approx 10/12 sessional teaching staff that work within the area and to support them to deliver high-quality sessions to our learners.
We currently teach 7 languages, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Mandarin and BSL. (there is a separate LDDC for BSL courses so these will not be your responsibility). We have also run Gujarati classes and are looking to expand our provision to include languages that better represent the community that we live in in Leicestershire.
There are different periods of the year that are busy within this post. Duties include ensuring that all classes are ready and prepared, planning for the forthcoming year and managing assessment periods. No week is the same! There is a teaching element to this post and there is an expectation that a minimum of 56 hours, over the academic year, (1 course) will be face to face - teaching one of our 6 Foreign Languages.
You will need to complete mandatory training linked to the role and the service, and paperwork associated with the courses you deliver and manage.
We would like someone based in the south of the county if possible as our current LDDC is based in the North.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

About You- A level 4/5 nationally approved teaching qualification or equivalent
- A relevant and approved subject qualification at the required level for the subject specialism (Foreign Languages - specifically one of those we deliver)
- Good functional skills (to at least NVQ Level 2 or above in Maths, English and ICT (or evidence of competence)
- Experience of managing staff and coordination of courses.
- Ability to use ICT for professional communications, using email and attachments and other platforms. You also need to be able to use the adult learning platform (Virtual learning environment- or VLE) both as a user and also as a tutor
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
