Location: Green Lane Walsall- (Hybrid – 3dpw typical in the office)

all round role.

The Role:

• Preparation of month end management accounts for an Echo Business Unit, to include:
• Calculation of accruals and prepayments
• Journal posting in Oracle
• Preparation of the monthly P&L position
• Preparation of month end balance sheet reconciliations
• Analysis of actual results against budget and forecast, providing commentary on key variances.
• Preparation of financial performance by region and customer.
• Review of monthly results with the Finance Business Partner for the Echo Business Unit.
• Preparation of compliance documents for Echo’s Australian business.
• Accounts receivable processing and credit control for the Echo Business Unit.
• Ongoing review of financial processes and controls, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.
• First point of contact for accounting queries relating to the Echo Business Unit.
• Supporting the Finance Business Partner with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecast for the Echo

• Supporting the Finance Business Partner with ad hoc requests for information where required.
• Cross skilling with other Echo Management Accountant roles so cover can be provided as required.

What you’ll need:

• Finance graduate or AAT L4
• Enthusiasm and a desire to continue your studies towards a professional qualification
• Strong excel skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Familiarity with computer-based finance packages (Oracle experience preferred but not essential).
• Speed and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Team player mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Flexible working attitude.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
