Ideal candidate experience:

  • 5 – 10 years’ experience with recent hands-on exposure across relevant technology stack
  • Cloud: AWS or GCP preferred but others considered
  • Networking: Meraki & Palo Alto preferred but others considered
  • SaaS environment/applications: Okta Google Workspace, Slack, etc.
  • Automation/Scripting: Workato highly beneficial but Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Jenkins and Terraform also considered
Our client is seeking a dedicated, service-oriented, and experienced System Administrator to join their Global IT team. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact the day-to-day productivity of the business by ensuring the integrity of and access to vital company resources.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing IT system services and infrastructure, troubleshooting network systems, and overseeing project deployment from start to finish. What you'll do:

As a System Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our client's most important company resources. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing their IT system services and infrastructure. Your expertise in troubleshooting network systems will be crucial in ensuring the smooth running of operations.
You will also have the opportunity to showcase your project management skills by overseeing IT systems project deployment from inception to completion. Furthermore, your ability to identify business needs and deploy suitable solutions will be highly valued.

In this role, you will also manage monitoring and backup platforms to ensure high availability of critical applications.

  • Manage IT system services and infrastructure such as AWS, OKTA, Palo Alto security solutions, Jamf, Intune etc.
  • Troubleshoot organisation's network systems effectively
  • Oversee IT systems project deployment from start to end
  • Identify business needs, search for optional solutions, and deploy accordingly
  • Manage monitoring and backup platforms to ensure high availability of critical apps
  • Provide Tier 3 support for escalated complex cases
  • Collaborate closely with security team to ensure efficiency of IT infrastructure
  • Assume ownership of critical IT systems and infrastructure ensuring smooth operation, resilience, and security
  • Oversee design, implementation, and optimisation of robust network architectures including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud-based solutions

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this System Administrator role brings at least 4+ years of proven experience in a similar position. Your experience in networking will be essential in installing and maintaining network components. Your familiarity with a Cloud environment, including building, maintenance, and support will be highly advantageous.

You should also have experience managing Backup/DR systems. Your ability to manage SasS applications such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack etc., will be crucial in this role. Additionally, your knowledge and experience with monitoring SaaS applications and device management systems such as Jamf and Intune will be highly valued.

  • Proven experience in a System Administration position
  • Experience in networking- install/maintain network components like switches, Wi-Fi equipment, and firewalls - advantage Meraki/Paloalto
  • Experience with a Cloud environment, build, maintenance, and support - advantage AWS/GCP
  • Experience managing Backup/DR systems
  • Experience with SasS applications such as – Okta, Google Workspace, Slack etc.
  • Experience managing, securing, and maintaining Windows/Linux servers
  • Knowledge and experience with monitoring SaaS applications
  • Experience with Device management systems such as Jamf and Intune
