Site Manager

Our client, a leading company in the power distribution and energy sector, is currently seeking a Site Manager specialising in substations to join their team. This is a permanent opportunity to work on NG and NGED substations ranging from 11kV up to 400kV, covering protection changes and new substation builds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and overseeing all on-site operations for substation projects
• Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery
• Scheduling and conducting site meetings to assess progress and address issues
• Implementing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry regulations
• Monitoring and reporting on project progress to senior management
• Ensuring all installations are conducted according to specifications and technical requirements
• Providing technical guidance and support on fitting and wiring tasks as needed

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in site management within the substation, power distribution, and energy sectors
• Proven expertise in managing substation projects from 11kV to 400kV
• SR163 or DNO authorised certs
• SMSTS
• Understanding of protection changes and new substation builds
• Experience in fitting and wiring is preferable
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance standards

Benefits:

• Starting Salary between £55,000-£65,000 per annum
