Library Assistant
Would you like the opportunity to work as part of a team of highly experienced and ambitious colleagues?
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a love of literature and books to take on the responsibility of providing support to the Librarian in the daily running of the Library at Graveney School. To be successful, you will, ideally, have some experience in a similar role that will include the supervision of library users, the administration of library resources and having the sole responsibility for the Library, in the absence of the Librarian, for one day a week.
It is a very supportive environment that prides itself on the delivery of a comprehensive library service across the full secondary school age range, located in our large and attractive school site.
Previous experience within a secondary school setting is also desirable but not essential. You will have excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills and be competent in using ICT.
This is a part-time, term-time-only role for 16 hours per week (Monday and Wednesday, 10.30 – 2.30 preferably and all day on Friday during school hours).
