You will join the Institute of Education for Healthcare and Medical Sciences (IEHMS) as one of a team of academic, administrative and support staff who underpin the delivery and development of the wide range of degree programmes offered by the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN).

This post will be an integral part of our small and friendly team administering the BSc programmes in the School and you will be located in the Polwarth Building on the Foresterhill Health Campus.

Duties are varied relating to the administration of the undergraduate BSc programmes with tasks such as, room bookings, student attendance monitoring and clerking of various committees.

It is an interesting post with interaction with colleagues and students across the School. It offers the opportunity to develop and broaden your organisational and communication skills and you will be the first point of contact for staff and students.

As part of the IEHMS you will also work alongside the teams who look after our postgraduate taught and medicine programmes and will have opportunities to be involved in wider School events and activities.

It is a student and academic staff facing role and, as such, requires in person attendance on campus. You will assist our staff and students in a friendly, supportive and professional way at all times.

The School is proud of its culture of care for our students, and this is reflected in our excellent National Student Survey rankings for our BSc and medicine degrees.

The postholder will also work with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Lead(s) for the School to provide some support with scheduling and clerking EDI committees.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 3, £24,606 - £26,038 per annum, pro rata and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

Informal enquiries should be made to Graeme McDonald, Institute Administrator (graemeandrew.mcdonald@abdn.ac.uk).
