About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a supportive and nurturing environment.The role is focused on supporting students across the school, from Early Years to Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and integrate into the classroom.
- Support pupils with behavioural challenges, providing intervention and implementing effective strategies to encourage positive behaviour.
- Assist in small group or 1:1 interventions, focusing on academic progress and social-emotional development.
- Work closely with the SEND team to deliver tailored support for individual students.
- Help pupils re-integrate into classroom settings, providing additional support where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure the success of SEND pupils.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally within an educational setting.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to support children with additional needs effectively.
- Experience in providing intervention and group work for pupils with SEND.
- A proactive, compassionate approach with a commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of students.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, supporting both pupils and staff.
- A passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
- Competitive daily rate of £90 - £100.
