Job Duties:
- Supporting students with challenging behaviour to achieve their educational goals
- Implementing behaviour management strategies as directed by the SENCO or teacher
- Assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to students in need
- Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour throughout the day
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with children or young adults with challenging behaviour
Education:
Relevant qualification in education, psychology, or related field
Experience:
Experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of behaviour management techniques
- Ability to build rapport and trust with students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching Assistant qualification
- Training in safeguarding and child protection
Working Conditions:
This role involves working within a school setting, supporting students with challenging behaviour. The candidate must be prepared to work full-time hours on a contract basis in Greater Manchester, Stretford.
