Behaviour Support Assistant – Stretford (M32)

Teaching Personnel are seeking an empathetic Behaviour Support Assistant to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is in a SEN and SEMH Primary school in Streford.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a key role in providing essential support to low-needs pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they have a positive and accessible learning experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Support with a range of Special Educational Needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers and the school’s SENCO to develop individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to help pupils achieve their learning goals.
  • Maintain a positive and nurturing learning environment for all pupils.
  • Encourage pupils' social and emotional development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEN.
  • Ability to engage and support pupils effectively.
  • Psychology graduates or individuals with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
