Job Description

The Accounts Assistant will;
  • Maintaining and updating financial records.
  • Processing invoices, expense forms and requests for payment.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Supporting the finance department with various tasks, including direct debit payments and credit control.
  • Performing administrative tasks to support the finance department.
  • Preparing and submitting weekly/monthly reports.
  • Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • An educational background in finance, accounting or relevant field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong numeracy and organisational skills.
  • An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • The ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and team-working skills.
