Your role
You'll be supporting the Head of Product Marketing and Communications in developing, delivering and maintaining clear and consistent product marketing materials and associated communications. Working alongside the product managers, our subject matter experts, you'll help them get their message across to our predominantly retail private client base.
You will predominately focus on the existing product shelf where each area is required to undergo an annual review of their marketing and aftersales material in line with risk management and local compliance teams. You will manage the marketing annual review process for the department and work with content managers to devise and schedule an effective plan which allows us to attain timely sign off of content for distribution to client advisors.
This role has a strong communication element to it and you will work closely with sales management in delivering timely messaging to client advisors on product updates and meet the manager sessions. In addition you will be required to lead on marketing projects as they arise.
You'll need a pragmatic approach to balance good marketing positioning and consistent tone of voice with adherence to regulatory rules.
You'll need to build strong relationships across the business, including client advisors, front office marketing, internal communications, media team, distribution and sales management and colleagues in Switzerland and support functions including legal, compliance, the client correspondence team and the in-house and external design teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery and maintenance of a large inventory of product communication materials in line with the annual review process
- Ensuring adherence with regulatory requirements, you'll need to develop a deep awareness and understanding of the rules
- Working within the design and tone of voice guidelines
- Project managing initiatives as they arise
- Uploading documents to various intranet sites and portals
- Creating HTML communications including invitations and product launch notifications
- Managing logistics and content for presentations and events (internal and external
- Liaising with external agencies when appropriate
Your team
Product Marketing & Communications is part of the distribution management team, the central unit which supports client advisors in navigating the Wealth Management offering. The team is comprised of product marketing, client analytics, pricing and a variety of business development activities.It's a small team so the role will be extremely "hands on" and will involve a varied range of scheduled and ad hoc tasks requiring you to be extremely flexible.
Your experience and skills
You have:
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills and the potential to develop sound editorial skills
- Good project management skills, managing multiple timelines to ensure that projects are delivered
- A good basic level of understanding of financial markets and regulations, having preferably worked in a related environment
- A strong sense of client focus in everything you do
You are:
- Able to operate proactively and independently, while also working well in a small team
- Flexible and creative in your approach to projects and client needs
- Highly organised and logical with great attention to detail
- Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience
- Keen to build a career in financial services marketing and pursue relevant industry qualifications
