Exciting Opportunity for a Passionate Early Years/KS1 Teaching Assistant
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for the flexibility of supply work, while still making a lasting impact on young children's education? We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Years/KS1 Teaching Assistant to support the academic, social, and personal growth of children in their early educational journey.
This role requires a minimum of Level 2 qualification and will run from March until the Summer term-perfect for someone looking for part-time flexibility and an opportunity to make a real difference in a young child's education.
As an Early Years/KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping children, particularly those with additional needs, thrive during their first experience in education. Key Responsibilities:- Have a strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum, especially within Early Years and KS1
- Support quality learning experiences for pupils, including small group work and 1:1 support for children with SEND
- Work with children of varying abilities, focusing on those with special educational needs
- Build positive and meaningful relationships with both staff and students
- Show initiative in your role and seek direction when needed to ensure the best outcomes for students
- A minimum of Level 2 qualification in childcare or a related field (e.g. , CACHE Level 2 or equivalent)
- Previous UK experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with young children
- An enhanced DBS certificate, registered with the Update Service, or the willingness to complete a new DBS check
- A genuine passion for supporting children, particularly those with additional learning needs
