Job description

The Security supervisor will be responsible for managing the CCTV/Fire Control room.

Salary: £31,000

4on / 4off shift pattern

7am to 7pm & 7pm to 7am / mixture of days and nights

• Reasonably fit and healthy.

• CCTV Operator & Door Supervisor SIA License.
• Computer literate, good knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language.
• Minimum of one year's previous supervisory experience.
• Strong customer services focus based on service excellence.
• Must be polite, courteous with a smart and clean appearance.
• MUST HAVE A CCTV LICENSE

Working Hours:

• Four on, four off shift pattern.
• Rotating between day shifts and night shifts.
• 12-hour shifts.

• Carry out security operations in accordance with development Security Policies and Assignment Instructions, providing excellent customer service to ensure a safe and secure living environment.
• Manage a team of two, or more, ensuring time keeping, attendance, instructions are being followed and that standards are being maintained at all times.
• Ensure minimum manning requirements are always maintained, liaising with the development Manned Guarding provider to cover periods of absence with temporary workers as required.
• Manage the security control room and systems contained within it, including telephone enquiries, estate fire alarm panels and activations, CCTV systems and Permit to Work systems.
• Ensuring that all security HR and payroll issues are reported to management in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular CCTV patrols, tasking patrol teams to respond to issues identified.
• Completing all necessary information logs, reports and files, to include, but not be limited to, daily reports, incident reports, lost property reports and fire alarm reports.
• Assist with emergency response and business continuity plans for fire, fire alarm activations, power failure, bomb threats and other such incidents, including escalation to out of hour's service providers and emergency services.
• Provide assistance, communication, and support with first aid incidents, contacting emergency services and completing appropriate in-house incident reports.
• Manage all incidents on the development until concluded or relieved by the Facilities and H & S Manager or emergency services.
• Conduct regular training sessions with team members to ensure they have an adequate understanding of incident response procedures, covering all possible incidents that may occur.
• Ensure all fire alarm activations, complaints from residents, disturbances, and incidents are responded to by the security and that all relevant paperwork and reports are completed.
• Ensuring that all additional, monthly, health & safety security tasks are completed in a timely manner.
