Teacher of Geography
As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop a deeper understanding of the world, sustainability, and global issues. This role is open to experienced teachers, ECTs qualifying this year, and unqualified teachers with a strong passion for Geography education.
Responsibilities:
- Effective Teaching: Support students in learning effectively, developing personally, and achieving their full potential in line with the school’s aims and policies.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and delivery of a broad, balanced, and ambitious Geography curriculum.
- Extra-Curricular Involvement: Play an active role in the school’s extra-curricular activities, enhancing students' learning experiences.
- Student Development: Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils as a teacher and form tutor.
- Raising Standards: Work collaboratively to raise student attainment and ensure value is added within the school.
- Professional Growth: Engage in training and career development opportunities provided by the school.
- Professional Duties: Carry out responsibilities as detailed in the Conditions of Service.
Requirements:
✅ QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent (for experienced teachers).✅ ECTs and unqualified teachers with a strong subject knowledge in Geography are encouraged to apply.
✅ Ability to deliver engaging and inspiring Geography lessons to students of varying abilities.
✅ Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
✅ A Safer Recruitment in Education check will be required.
