Quantum Engineer - Measurements - £55k - £70 (DoE)
As a senior quantum engineer focused on qubit measurement, you would have conducted scientific research or engineering running experiments/calibrations on superconducting devices. You will have done this in either an academic research lab or within the deep tech industry.You will also have experience of team collaboration and comparing experimental results from other teams, or comparing your own results to theory/literature.
Using your PhD or industry experience, you will have a background in a quantum computing modality, such as superconducting/trapped ion/atom based etc. Experience of qubit measurement in superconducting devices and exposure to microwave related technologies is an advantage.
Skills + experience
To become part of OQC’s Science and Research group you will have:
- Relevant PhD or Masters degree with industry experience
- Good knowledge of Python programming
- Experience using time-domain based sequences to control qubits
- Experience of 2Q gate optimisation and design is advantageous
- Experience of RF/Microwave measurements
- Experience of working independently and taking direction from more senior quantum engineers or research engineers
- Proven track record of owning research projects involving quantum systems or similar technology
