Our client, a large government customer, are seeking Level 3 Safety Engineer’s to join their team. The role is based in Bristol and you will be expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days/week. The role requires SC clearance.
Requirements are scheduled to run from 01/11/24 until 31/03/25 (5 months) and offer a rate up to £550/day.
IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Brief Team Description
ITS-SED requires a Safety Engineer that is able to deliver ASEP SQEP support and will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of safety programmes and artefacts.
Main Responsibilities- To work within an ITS-SED multi-discipline safety team, operating as an effective MOD Safety Manager (SM) to include support to safety activities, implementation of POSMS, assuring compliance with applicable safety related legislation, regulation, standards & policy, where the resource is expected to manage the tasks assigned to them by ITS-SED.
- Deliver against the overarching programme and established safety management plan.
- Produce safety and environmental artefacts to time and quality requirements.
- The Safety Engineer shall act as a Delivery Team (DT) safety focal point. As a result, they will be required to represent the DT at required safety engagements, including regulatory interface, and can brief up and down.
- The Air/Land/Maritime Safety Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day safety activity, delivering against agreed tasks.
- Experience working within the DE&S ITS-SED ASEP Mode-1 resource augmentation team, initially deployed within the Air/Land/Maritime Domains.
- Practitioner level experience of DE&S safety management systems and processes (POSMS).
- Practitioner level experience of leading air safety management tasks.
- Practitioner level experience (Plan creation and update) of Safety and Environmental Management Plans.
- Practitioner level experience (Plan creation and update) of Safety Case / A Safety Case Report.
- Practitioner level experience (Plan creation and update) of Hazard Logs.
- Practitioner level experience (Plan creation and update) of Hazard identification and assessment.
- Practitioner level experience (Plan creation and update) of Operation of safety review meetings.
- Experience required in one or all of Air/Land/Maritime System Safety and delivering safety and environmental artefacts.
- Experience required in safety case reports and hazard logs.
- Type Certification Experience
- Working within DE&S Air/Land/Maritime domains
- Working within SACC
- Fault and Event Tree (FTA / ETA).
