We are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join an established Accounts Department within a growing manufacturing business. The role involves the input, upkeep, and monitoring of the company’s key financial records, with a specific focus on the Payroll.

This position reports to the Finance Manager and is responsible for assisting with payroll and finance-related tasks.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Accurately record and produce weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Report pensions accurately and on time.
  • Submit and maintain records of deductions, including CSA.
  • Produce and record P32/FPS/EPS for payroll processing.
  • Generate and post payroll journals for month-end reporting.
  • Calculate and submit P11D/Annual leave accruals.
  • Regularly update the headcount.
  • Monitor the Payroll Email box and handle all relevant queries.
  • Assist with end-of-year accounts preparation.
  • Manage workload to ensure timely and accurate contribution to the company’s monthly financial reporting process.
  • Reconcile 10 bank accounts, including 4 different currencies.
  • Assist with all aspects of debtors and creditors as required.
  • Assist with intercompany reconciliation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with payroll processing and financial record-keeping.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and manage workload effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle queries.
