Management of the Property team and the effective performance of the Council’s land and property portfolio (value of circa £140million)
Managing the delivery of acquisition, disposal, leasing of land and property as part of our Commercialisation Strategy
To be responsible for the corporate property estate (value of circa £140million), the provision of a valuation and assets management service and planned maintenance of all Council land and assets, ensuring “best value” is received across the Council’s land and property portfolio
To continually evaluate existing service provision to identify and implement ongoing improvements to maximise service quality and efficiency
To negotiate with prospective tenants / agents on terms of new leases
Carry out research as appropriate using specialist knowledge and experience to provide advice and guidance
Drive change and embed new ways of working to ensure high quality service delivery, customer focus, strong commercial approach and value for money
Lead by example and consistently demonstrate our values and Behaviours and act proactively to address any non-compliance or performance issues
Manage allocated budgets / resources / funding effectively and flexibly and to control all related expenditure are met within budget
Support the management of the Council’s Parking service
