Job Summary:
Our mission is to create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Property Manager to join our team and help us maintain our facilities to the highest standards.
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall management and maintenance of our care home properties. This is a dynamic role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple properties effectively.
Working closely with the Site Manager and senior management, you will ensure that our facilities are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards. A very important aspect of this role is managing projects, from small-scale renovations to major upgrades, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.You will coordinate and oversee various maintenance tasks, emergency repairs, and liaise with external contractors when necessary. This role also involves completing building works and supervising maintenance staff and contractors to ensure projects are carried out efficiently and to high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects, including planning, execution, and completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems (plumbing, electrical, etc.) and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Perform various repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Ensure the care homes comply with health and safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Support the Property Manager in ensuring properties are well-maintained and compliant with regulations.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Manage relationships with external contractors and ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety standards.
- Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional services or amenities to tenants.
Experience:
- Proven experience in project management, site management, facility maintenance, or a similar role, preferably within a care home or healthcare setting.
- Strong technical skills in areas such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements in care home settings.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between care home locations as required.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Compensation:
- Pay negotiable, plus a bonus upon successful completion of projects.
