Reporting into the Senior Technical Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Build and maintain proactive relationships with customer Technical Teams and Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
• Manage and maintain all customer product specifications, Quality Attribute Sheets, and temporary specifications to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure all products consistently meet food safety and quality standards, swiftly addressing any non-conformances or withdrawal/recall situations with corrective actions.
• Investigate customer complaints, pesticide exceedances, and microbiological issues, providing timely resolutions and preventative strategies.
• Obtain, review, and maintain supplier due diligence documentation and ensure the Approved Supplier and Variety lists are always up to date.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support sustainability initiatives and ethical sourcing, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Monitor and report on customer and technical KPIs, using insights to drive improvements across the supply chain.
• Organise and attend supplier site visits, crop walks, and first production runs, ensuring full visibility of the supply process.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, and Innovation teams to strengthen the supply chain, support new product launches, and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Assist with benchmarking assessments, analyse data, and drive technical innovation to maintain our competitive edge.

About you:

• Proven track record in a similar role in food manufacturing or fresh produce is required
• Experience facing directly into retailers is required
• Own transport and full UK working rights are required (no sponsorship available)
