You will be a key part of the team, responsible for the management of artwork production for a range of collateral from brief through to print. You’ll be based onsite at Fort Dunlop in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity for a strong production manager to make an impact, always providing first class customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

You’ll provide onsite studio services to the account team’s customer. You will have primary responsibility for pre-qualification of customer briefs, asset collation, production planning and briefing, review, approval and dispatch of artwork assets with adherence to all production and quality control processes at all times, with ultimate accountability for the accurate production and timely delivery of artwork assets.

You’ll be responsible for the full process from pre-production to CPA management, resource management, briefing, quality control and approval, file release, account management support and process improvement and capability development.

Pre-Production:

You will be responsible for reviewing production briefs, technical briefs and visuals provided by the Account Manager to evaluate production requirements and establish the following:

  • Skillsets required
  • Production time required
  • Resource availability and dependencies
  • Any additional resources required – and secure these
  • You’ll also make sure the brief has been pre-validated prior to sending it through to be produced.

CPA Management:

  • You’ll be accountable for the delivery of the artwork to the CPA as defined by the Account Manager, and if there is any deviation from the agreed CPA, you will inform them of this and justify the reasons behind it.

Resource Management:

  • You’ll be responsible for planning the resource required and logging it on relevant systems and identify where additional resource might be needed and secure that from the appropriate teams.

Briefing:

  • You will take the brief from the online briefing system and clarify any points with the Account Manager, and make sure the brief is fully understood by the nominated resource.

Quality Control & Approval:

  • You will be accountable for ensuring all Quality Control processes are adhered to and QC checks are undertaken for every project. Third-party production is also subject to ITG internal QC checks, and it will be your responsibility to ensure that this happens. Only files that have gone through these checks will be able to be released.

Account Management Support:

  • You will need to work closely with the Account Manager and the wider team, providing consultancy support on how to improve the process and mentoring the team to embed best practice in briefing and CPA management to improve Right First-Time briefing.

Process Improvement & Capability Development:

  • You’ll identify and implement continuous improvements to production processes and methods, while being responsible for providing feedback to ensure production and QC processes are maintained and are always fit for purpose.
Requirements

  • You are experienced in artwork production roles
  • You are familiar with the artwork production software tools and processes
  • You have a clear understanding of print processes, materials and methods
  • You have a good understanding of colour and print quality management
  • You have experience of working with online project management and approval systems
  • You have an exceptional eye for detail and meticulously high, quality standards
  • You are able to communicate at all levels and build strong, trusting relationships with colleagues and clients alike
  • You are resilient and able to remain calm under pressure
  • You are able to collaborate with an established team to nurture and develop new knowledge and skills
