Our client is a large organisation within the FMCG industry. With a global presence and a team of dedicated professionals, they are known for their commitment to quality and sustainability. There are multi-sites across the UK and the role will involved some UK travel.

Job Description

As a Senior Procurement Manager / Category Manager you will be responsible for the commercial aspects, category management and overall supplier performance for services purchased.You will take a strategic category view to manage areas of spend, identify savings opportunities whilst building strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilites;
  • Develop and execute innovative procurement strategies.
  • Manage the entire process in the planning of procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and supplier audit to ensure best quality and cost efficiency.
  • Implement procurement initiatives within the FMCG industry.
  • Manage and develop a high performing team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policy and legal regulations.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods and timely delivery.
  • Ability to operate in a complex multi-site environment

The Successful Applicant

As a Procurement Manager, you would have experience of managing multiple categories within a face paced FMCG environment across various locations.
  • Proven experience in a procurement role within the FMCG industry.
  • Degree or equivalent with a proven track record in end to end, indirect procurement / category management
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership abilities and able to manage large scale projects
  • Worked on high value categories 40mil+ spend ideally across
  • Ideally you would have worked across a technical category, ideally worked with agency (high volume/ high spend)
  • You must have experience in the FMCG, Consumer or Pharmaceutical background
