We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Architect to join our Head Office team in Kings Hill, Kent
This role will initially be on a 12 month fix-term contract but has the possibility of becoming permanent
The Business Intelligence Architect is responsible for designing and architecting robust Business Intelligence solutions that cater to Westfalia Fruit’s analytical needs. This role focuses on backend data engineering, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of data processes, and implementing technical solutions that support the organization’s analytical objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- BI Design and Architecture: Design and implement scalable data architectures and backend solutions for effective data storage and analysis. Develop efficient data models and ETL processes aligned with business requirements.
- Project Planning and Execution: Plan and manage the execution of BI projects from conception to deployment, overseeing the transition from legacy technology to Microsoft Fabric.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Provide guidance to the BI team, translating functional requirements into technical specifications and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Technology and Continuous Improvement: Research emerging BI technologies, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and optimize ETL processes for enhanced efficiency.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation throughout each project phase and produce regular reports on project progress and solution performance.
Requirements
Essential- Strong background in BI development with proven success in backend BI solutions.
- Extensive experience in SQL development and complex ETL processes.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Proficient in Power BI with strong data modeling capabilities.
- Advanced experience with SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related IT field.
- Microsoft MCSA/MCSE BI Certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the FMCG or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages or BI tools (e.g., Python, R).
- Advanced project management skills and familiarity with data governance practices.
- Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office).
