We are seeking to recruit a clinical research co-ordinator or clinical research nurse to join our established research delivery team at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare Trust and support recruitment to clinical research studies.

The team supports research activity in a wide range of clinical specialities. Our research portfolio is growing steadily as we further our aim of increasing participation in research.

This post represents an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated individual to develop new skills in the management of research studies at SASH. The candidate must have excellent communication, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in order to meet competing demands.
They should have a logical and methodical approach to their work and possess strong problem solving skills. A health or science related degree is essential as well as experience of working in a SASH clinical environment and having regular contact with patients and senior clinical staff.

A good understanding of data protection/information governance as well as awareness of GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and research governance would be helpful.

Successful candidates will be appointed to the first pay step within the band when they start with the Trust (unless they have previous relevant NHS continuous service), thereafter individuals will progress up the pay steps in accordance with NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) terms and conditions.

For part time roles you will receive a pro rata'd (proportional) salary payment based on the appropriate pay step/point and hours worked in accordance with AfC and all medical and dental terms and conditions.
