Bridgeway Federation, which compromises of Broadway Infant School and The Ridge Junior School wish to appoint an experience SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is based at the Junior school in KS2.We are looking for someone with an interest in SEND and in supporting children to achieve and grow regardless of barriers. Our children need someone passionate, dedicated and nurturing to embrace their needs and help them meet their targets. The role will involve working 1:1 with a specific pupil, who holds an EHCP. This is a temporary post that will end when funding ceases or the child leaves the school.As a SEN Teaching Assistant within The Ridge Junior School, you’ll be able to build upon your existing skillset within a supportive environment, with professional development, training, and career progression opportunities available.This post is term time only plus 5 INSET days.Working pattern - 13 hours per week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10.45am-2pm.Interviews will be held on Wednesday 12th February in the afternoon.We need you to:

  • Work well as part of a team but also able to use your own initiative.
  • Be enthusiastic and have a positive outlook.
  • Be fully supportive of the school’s approach to outdoor play and our ‘whatever the weather’ approach.
  • Have the communication skills necessary to act as a link between the children, the other lunchbreak staff and the rest of the adults working in school.
  • Be prepared to fully participate in training and professional development where applicable to the post.
  • Understand the need for and adhere to strictest standards of confidentiality.
