Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our consultancy team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Solid Works and Product Data Management (PDM) systems, and will be keen to apply their skills in a consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Support the design and development of mechanical systems and components using Solid Works. Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications.
- PDM Management: Utilize PDM systems to manage design data, control revisions, and ensure accurate documentation and retrieval of project information.
- Consultancy Support: Collaborate with clients to understand their engineering needs and provide technical expertise. Assist in the preparation of technical reports.
- Analysis and Testing: Conduct mechanical analysis and simulations to validate designs. Perform and document tests to ensure compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
- Project Assistance: Provide engineering support across multiple projects. Assist senior engineers in project planning, coordination, and execution.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues related to mechanical designs and systems. Propose and implement improvements to enhance functionality and efficiency.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including design reports, user manuals, and project files.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver integrated solutions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Solid Works for 3D modelling and design.
- Experience with PDM systems for managing design data.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
