Accounts Assistant

Are you ready to join a dynamic and fast-paced consultancy business that's making waves in Teesside and beyond? Hays are working with an organisation on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Assistant to support their finance team during a period of exciting growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs our Accounts Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations.
Your duties will include:
- Processing Accounts Payable invoices using Sage
- Investigating discrepancies and resolving invoice queries with precision
- Reconciling supplier statements and preparing AP payment runs
- Issuing customer statements and reminders to maintain cash flow
- Allocating payments and receipts via Sage
- Supporting the Finance Director with financial schedules and reporting
- Managing incoming emails and maintaining excellent communication with suppliers and customers
- Performing ad-hoc reconciliations and assisting the wider team with financial queries
What the client is looking for Someone who's confident, organised, and ready to hit the ground running.
The ideal candidate would be:
- AAT Level 3 qualified or above, or qualified by experience
- Experienced of using Sage (or similar accounting software)
- A clear communicator with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Be part of a rapidly expanding consultancy with a reputation for excellence
