We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Executive Assistant to join our Executive Office team at Mid Cheshire Hospitals, during an exciting period of growth and transformation.
In May 2023 the Government announced that RAAC hospitals were to be prioritised in the national New Hospitals Programme and Leighton Hospital was confirmed in the first wave of new build hospitals. The new hospital will be the most digitally advanced in the UK.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of an NHS Trust at the forefront of significant change. As we move forward with the New Hospital Programme, your support will be instrumental in helping our Executive Team drive innovation, modernisation, and excellence in patient care.
To fully support our Exec team, you will be required to work primarily on-site, in the Executive Office at Leighton Hospital, Crewe between the hours of 9-5, Monday to Friday.
You will have ideally supported at an Executive Assistant / PA or senior secretarial/administrative level before and be able to demonstrate your flexibility, approachability and professionalism in all you do This role provides an opportunity to showcase your skills in communications and innovative thinking.Experience of working in a highly confidential environment desirable.

Main duties of the job
What you'll do:
- Provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support to members of the Executive Team.
- Coordinate complex diaries, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare reports, briefing documents, agendas, and minutes to a high standard.
- Liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- The post holder will have delegated authority and responsibility to act independently.
- It is essential that the post holder can exercise initiative suitable to the role and is fully supportive to other colleagues in the Executive Office team.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a senior Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant, ideally in a healthcare or public sector setting.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond calmly under pressure.
- High level of discretion, with a commitment to upholding confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools used for virtual meetings.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To work closely with the Executive Directors and their deputies, Executive Office Manager and Executive Assistants, across all aspects of their work to ensure a complete understanding of their workload.
This will include drafting letters, emails and co-ordinating responses with minimum supervision and guidance, managing electronic diaries, emails, day to day telephone queries and incoming post in a way that is responsive to their needs and contributes to the effectiveness of their role.
