Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring English lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
• Foster a love for literature and language while enhancing students' reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Utilise a variety of teaching methods to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
• Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback to foster their academic growth.
• Collaborate with other English department staff to plan and coordinate lessons effectively.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school training events.
• Encourage students to participate in related extracurricular activities such as reading clubs or writing workshops.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an English Teacher.
• Strong understanding of the UK curriculum and current teaching methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
