The Head and Neck Team are based across the Bournemouth and Poole sites of University Hospitals Dorset. We are looking for a motivated, innovative and positive colleague to support us and our colleagues in enabling the delivery of high quality, safe pathways in ENT, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics and Restorative Dentistry services.We work together as part of the Surgical Care Group, and in partnership with the Dorset System and our colleagues throughout the county.
This opportunity is for a PA to work alongside and support our senior team and needs to be someone who is motivated, organised, is a successful communicator and can bring something new to the team.

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Educated to GCSE standard:
- A Level in two subjects
- ECDL or equivalent
- NVQ 4 or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria- Previous experience in senior secretarial / administrative positions in a busy and demanding environment
- Previous hospital experience
- Two years as a PA in a large / medium sized organisation
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria- Excellent technical skills in Microsoft Office
- Audio typing skills
- Proficient keyboard skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Organising, attending and administering corporate meetings
- Taking minutes at corporate/senior level committee meetings
- Competent in use of e-mail and web-based technology
- Understands workforce statistics and planning.
- Board or senior committee agenda setting and minute taking
Other
Essential criteria- Demonstrable experience of work in a senior supporting role
- Able to work on own initiative
- Capable of prioritising work and be able to refer queries onwards
